empressissi™ is pleased to offer this extra fine, hand made, rare and sought after Jules Jürgensen, estimated from around 1875 with a low serial number, in a very heavy 18K solid gold hunter case. The watch houses an early hand made top grade Swiss 'Jules Jürgensen' German silver movement, decorated with Geneve stripes and fully jeweled with 21 jewels set in gold chatons. This is an early serial 10213 crown wind/pin set movement, in overall excellent condition, running strong with a large chronometer balance and keeping accurate time with sub seconds. The movement is cased in a heavy 18K fully signed gold case with elegant coin edge. The weight of the case alone without the movement and crystal is not less than 72 grams. The original crown is somewhat worn but functional, the bow is original and strong, mint mineral savonette crystal. The lift spring is working fine and the case has a unique locking mechanism for the pinset preventing it to being accidentally pressed when the front cover is closed.
The dial is a factory original white enamel with sunken sub seconds and classic Roman numerals, it exhibits only a single scratch visible in the sub seconds area and has an original set of classic hands.
