1932 GRUEN 'Quadron 123' Gents Art Deco Watch 123-102
empressissi™ is pleased to offer this early Art Deco GRUEN Quadron watch for men from the late 20s in gold filled case. This particular watch has the dual tone 123 movement which is very rare and sought after.
The watch houses a rare and early 123 'Quadron' barrel shaped caliber running on 15 jewels with sub seconds complication. It is cased in a classic rectangular shaped 14K yellow gold filled case with gorgeous Art Deco 'skyscraper' design. The case is in fair condition, exhibits some minor wear on edges and some small dents on the back but overall very presentable. Comes with a good crown and the original mineral crystal in great shape.
The dial is a factory original hard enamel with Art Deco style numerals. The dial had its hazardous Radium filling removed and was recently restored with luminous filling, carefully hand painted in our atelier with non-toxic Super-Luminova™ material. The same material was applied to the original set of decorated skeleton hands as well.
This rare Gruen watch measures 22mm side to side (excluding crown) and 39mm from top lug to bottom lug.
Attached to this watch is standard length, brand new 16mm wide genuine leather band in slim black tone with an anti-allergic buckle in matching tone.
