empressissi™ is pleased to offer this rare and sought after military style watch for men from the early 50s in stainless steel case with an early Swiss bumper automatic wind movement.

The watch houses an early Mido Swiss bumper automatic movement which was made by AS and Mido was one of their earliest retailers, this version has the sub seconds hand which is more sought after. The movement is cased in a rigid small and impressive octagon stainless steel case with an original crown and a mint low dome crystal.

The dial is factory original in copper tone and most elegantly lightly aged in tropical style with an original set of hands.

This original early MIDO watch measures 28mm side to side (excluding crown) and 35mm from top lug to bottom lug and is very modest in size even for a vintage watch.

Attached to this watch is a brand new old stock genuine leather, 16mm wide, quality NATO strap in brown tone with an anti-allergic buckle in white tone.
