empressissi™ is pleased to offer this top quality and sought after LONGINES automatic dress watch for men from the mid 50s with classic design and state of the art movement.
The watch houses a 19AS high grade caliber, running on 17 jewels with sweep seconds. This 19A-19AS series was considered 'rocket science' in the 50s and are until today some of the best movements ever made by Longines. It is cased in a robust yet elegant gold filled case known as the Reference 2269-1 and comes with mint acrylic crystal and a signed crown.
The dial is factory original, elegant dual tone silver with applied solid gold markers and an original set of hands, lightly and evenly aged and presents magnificently.
This eclectic Longines watch is relatively large for a vintage watch and measures 35mm side to side (excluding crown) and 43mm from top lug to bottom lug.
Attached to this watch is a standard length brand new, 18mm wide, quality genuine leather band in padded dark brown tone with an anti-allergic buckle in white tone.
