1905 MONOPOL 14K Gold Hunter/Savonette Swiss Pocket Watch

empressissi™ is pleased to offer this amazingly decorated Monopol Swiss pocket watch in solid 14K gold case. The watch was serviced in our atelier, it is working flawlessly, keeping good time.

This watch is part of a large 'Virginia Collection' we offer for sale, from an avid collector of mostly American made solid gold watches.

The watch houses an early classic Swiss three fingers style ebauche caliber in gilt finish, probably an early FHF version and is very well preserved. It is a crown wind/pin set caliber, in overall excellent condition, running strong and keeping accurate time with sub seconds on 15 jewels. The movement is cased in a very elegant hand engraved and fully hallmarked original 14K solid gold case in fantastic condition with a tight original bow, original crown and mint acrylic crystal. The lift spring is working properly. As with most Swiss cases, it is thin in gauge and exhibits several dings that are hard to see nevertheless. The decorations around the watch are breathtaking, hand chased and in exceptionally good preserved condition with an open crest on the front.

The dial is a factory original white enamel with sunken sub seconds and Arabic numerals, it exhibits very small signs but no damage and has an original set of Louis XIV style gilt hands.

This fantastic Swiss pocket watch measures 46mm side to side (excluding crown), The case alone weighs net gold content of 26g without the crystal, crown and movement.
