empressissi™ is pleased to offer this rare and original VACHERON&CONSTANTIN Art Deco watch for ladies from the early 20s in distinctive Art Deco design in 18K yellow gold. Really one of a kind.

The watch houses a strong early V&C caliber manual wind movement, running on 16 jewels, which is quite rare for such an early movement. It is cased in an exquisite 18K solid yellow gold case in cushion shape with fixed lugs and has a good crown and a near mint original mineral crystal. According to the engraving on the back it appears this watch was retailed by JE Caldwell & Co. of Pennsylvania. The side lip of the back is marked for JAN 30, 1920 and the serial number of the movement corresponds to that period as well, according to public records.

The dial is 100% factory original, made of Sterling silver with icy finish and hard enamel print. in overall very good condition with minimal age to the ages and comes with an original set of decorated hands.

This elegant V&C watch measures 22mm side to side (excluding crown) and 25mm from top lug to bottom lug and is relatively modest in size even for a vintage watch.

Attached to this watch is a brand new, top class HIRSCH Amon genuine leather band in  padded dark brown, 12mm wide, with an anti-allergic unmarked buckle in a matching tone.
