empressissi™ is pleased to offer this early and sought after Art Deco GRUEN wrist watch for men - a unique model from the 20s in uncommon yellow/green gold filled case with a classic Art Deco - trench cushion design.

The watch houses an early quality 885 caliber, running well on 15 jewels with sub seconds. It is cased in an elegant Wadsworth cushion shaped 14K white gold filled case with decorations in Art Deco motif on the sides. The watch has a mint mineral crystal and a good crown.

The dial is a
100% factory original hard enamel off-white dial with distinctive Art Deco figures and original set of hands that was cleaned and restored, maintaining its original 'print' which in practical terms is 'baked' on the dial, unlike later printed dials. The luminous material on this dial has been restored with non-toxic Super-Luminova instead of the original hazardous Radium. The same material was applied to the original set of hands.

This rare Gruen watch measures 27mm side to side (excluding crown) and 35mm from top lug to bottom lug and is modest in size even for a vintage standard.

Attached to this watch is its original, elegant and unique SIMMONS gold filled bracelet with elegant folding clasp design allowing the flow of the original sample of links above it, will fit a wrist of up to 165mm.

Vintage watches are smaller than today's standards;
To avoid the inconvenience of returns merely due to wrong size expectations, Please study the listed sizes and keep in mind that in most cases, vintage watches will be smaller than today's standards and are unlikely to fit a large wrist.
