empressissi™ is pleased to offer this early and sought after Art Deco GRUEN wrist watch for men - a unique model from the late 20s in Nickel case with a classic Art Deco design.

The watch houses an early quality 315 caliber, running well on 15 jewels with sub seconds. It is cased in an elegant Nickel case in distinctive Art Deco design with decorative frame. Over the years I have seen several watches of this model, all in various decaying conditions. The Nickel case was not the smartest choice, hence it was abandoned technology in later years. But finding such an example in this condition is a rare specimen to add to your collection. The watch has a mint mineral crystal and a good crown.

The dial is a factory original hard enamel dial with Art Deco style numerals with recently restored Radium-simulated filling, carefully hand painted in our atelier with non-toxic material. The same material was applied to the original set of decorated skeleton hands as well.

This Gruen watch measures 27mm side to side (excluding crown) and 35mm from top lug to bottom lug.

Attached to this watch is a brand new quality padded genuine leather band in black, 18mm wide with an anti-allergic white tone buckle.
