empressissi™ is pleased to offer this early and uncommon Art Deco BULOVA model wrist watch for men known as the DOUGLAS from 1928, with market strategy for sportive community, this was considered a very sleek watch for its time.
The watch houses the famous 6AF caliber, running well on 15 jewels with sub seconds. This caliber operated most of the Bulova smaller watches that were designed without sub seconds during the 20s. It is cased in a classic 14K white gold filled case with decorations in Art Deco motif on the sides and comes with near mint crystal and original crown.
The dial is a 100% factory original hard enamel off-white dial with distinctive Art Deco figures and original set of hands. The luminous material on this dial has been restored in the past instead of the original hazardous Radium.
This rare Bulova watch measures 20mm side to side (excluding crown) and 33mm from top lug to bottom lug. Although it was originally made for gents, it would be considered extremely small in today's standards and if used daily, would probably be more suitable for a lady.
Attached to this watch is a brand new, genuine leather band in black tone with a matching anti allergic buckle, 16mm wide.
