empressissi™ is pleased to offer this early trench style wrist watch from WW1 period by the fine American maker WALTHAM in excellent working order, for the British market in solid gold. Those are very hard to find in such condition.
The watch houses an early grade 364 with 15 jewels and sub seconds. It is cased in a British hallmarked 9K solid gold case with fixed lugs. The back is hinged and it has a mint low dome acrylic crystal. The crown needs to be pulled out gently to set.
The dial is factory original made of enamel with military style numerals. The numerals have had their hazardous Radium filling removed and refilled with a non toxic substance simulating the original look and tone.
This elegant watch measures 31mm side to side (excluding crown) and 34mm from top lug to bottom lug and is modest in size even for a vintage watch.
Attached to this watch is a regular length brand new old stock, 16mm wide, quality slim genuine leather band in dark brown tone with unsigned anti-allergic buckle in matching tone.
Vintage watches are smaller than today's standards; To avoid the inconvenience of returns merely due to wrong size expectations, Please study the listed sizes and keep in mind that in most cases, vintage watches will be smaller than today's standards and are unlikely to fit a large wrist.
