empressissi™ is pleased to offer this original and uncommon Patek Philippe reference, a fine dress watch of the highest standards from the 40s - the 'Reference 1509'. This model has unique tear drop lugs and is in a generous size for a Patek in particular and for the era in general. Our PPPP archive suggests this watch was made in 1946.
The watch houses a rare 12-120 manual wind caliber, running on 18 jewels. This is a unique hi grade caliber decorated in Geneve stripes and set in an original and signed PATEK PHILIPPE 18K solid yellow gold case with teardrop lugs that is relatively large. The case has a mint low dome crystal and original crown.
The dial is 100% original factory made - Sterling silver with hard enamel original print and absolutely stunning dual tone silver finish. There is a very faint scratches area near the 11-12 region, I was not even able to photograph them and it is mentioned for complete accuracy.
This rare Patek Philippe watch measures 34mm side to side (excluding crown) and 41mm from top lug to bottom lug.
Attached to this watch is a brand new HIRSCHⓇ top quality semi padded genuine leather band in dark brown, 20mm wide. Sadly we obtained this watch without the original buckle made of gold so it comes with the original non-gold Hirsch buckle.
