30s PAREX 8-DAYS Rare Gents Art Deco Watch

empressissi™ is pleased to offer this unique, early and elegant, all original Art Deco watch for men with a 8-days manual wind movement. This movement was developed by A. Michel which at that time was the smallest available 8 days caliber. It was retailed under various names, in particular in the British market and is a very rare find nowadays.
The watch houses an early A. Michel Cal. 50 8-days caliber, running well on two mainsprings, 15 jewels and keeping good time for a whole week. The movement is cased in a Sterling silver Art Deco large and impressive hinged case in very good condition with an original crown and good acrylic crystal.
The dial is a factory original, elegant and lightly aged silver guilloche pattern with an aged original print and an original set of Breguet style hands.
This rare watch measures 25mm side to side (excluding crown) and 40mm from top lug to bottom lug and is in good proportions for a vintage watch.
Attached to this watch is a brand new slim genuine leather band in black tone, 20mm wide, with anti-allergic buckle in white tone.
