40s MIDO Multifort Manual wind Gents Military Style Watch
empressissi™ is pleased to offer this rare and sought after military style watch for men from the late 40s with a manual wind variant, these are extremely uncommon as Mido got famous mostly with the automatic variants of these military style models. It is not in the 'dirty dozen' series but definitely of the same genre, and does not fall behind in quality!
The watch houses an early Mido caliber (Base caliber AS I believe) running on 15 jewels with 3 adjustments, with sub seconds hand and early Incabloc shock proof system. It is cased in a small yet robust iconic stainless steel case and has the iconic original crown and mint crystal
The dial is factory original and lightly, evenly aged with nice light patine and has an original set of hands.
This original early MIDO watch measures 28mm side to side (excluding crown) and 35mm from top lug to bottom lug and is very modest in size even for a vintage watch.
Attached to this watch is a brand new genuine leather band in black tone with an anti-allergic buckle in white tone.
