empressissi™ is pleased to offer this all original, elegant American made HAMILTON dress watch for men from the early 40s in design known as the WILSHIRE in gold filled of the CORAL series with salmon dial and white figures/hands. The Coral series was popular for a short period during the early 40s and included several gold filled models in such design. The Wilshire model is often referred to among collectors as 'driver's watch' for the swivel lugs feature.
The watch houses a strong and classic 980 manual wind movement with sub seconds, running on 17 jewels and is a quality high grade American made movement. It is cased in a 14K gold filled case in rose tone with flat design, with mint correct crystal and good crown.
The dial is factory original and in nice lightly aged condition, unique Salmon tone with applied solid white gold numerals and original set of hands.
This Hamilton watch measures 22mm side to side (excluding crown) and 50mm from top lug to bottom lug and is modest in size even for vintage standards.
Attached to this watch is a brand new, quality padded genuine leather band in dark brown tone, 16mm wide, with anti-allergic buckle in matching tone.
