1900s CROSS Swiss Goliath Pocket Watch

empressissi™ is pleased to offer this fantastic, well preserved large and strong running giant pocket watch, made in Switzerland around 1900 in a category known among collectors as 'Goliath pocket watches'.

The watch houses an early Swiss large gilt finish movement. It appears to be based on an enlarged FHF 19 caliber, it is a 24 hours movement - crown wind/pinset caliber running on 15 jewels. The movement is running strong, keeping good time.

The movement is cased in an a large Nickel/Steel composition, similar to stainless steel case with internal dust cover. Overall in very good condition for its age with a form original bow and original onion crown.

The dial is a fine large numerals style in white enamel with some hairlines to the 9 side, mostly hidden by the bezel, no chips. With original set of hands.

This huge and impressive Goliath pocket watch measures 80mm side to side (excluding crown). It is shown in the last image with a Swiss 37mm round (about 6-size) pocket watch for reference (The smaller watch is not included).
