1900s DOXA Swiss Goliath Pocket Watch

empressissi™ is pleased to offer this fantastic, well preserved large and strong running giant pocket watch, made in Switzerland around 1900 in a category known among collectors as 'Goliath pocket watches' by the fine maker DOXA.

The watch houses an early Swiss large Nickel finish movement.It is a 24 hours movement - crown wind/pinset caliber running on 15 jewels. The movement is running strong, keeping good time.

The movement is cased in an elegant and large 'Argentan' marked which appears to be similar in composition to Pewter, exhibiting a nice hunting scene on the back with an original free bow and worn crown but fully functional and it also has the original crystal.

The dial is an interesting card made (!) in enamel finish and has an original set of hands.
