1936 HAMILTON USA 'Custer' Gents 14K Solid Gold Dress Watch

empressissi™ is pleased to offer this rare and gorgeous, early fine quality American made HAMILTON dress watch for men from the late 30s in design known as the Custer with applied numerals in solid gold.

The watch houses one of the best American made calibers - the famous 982 manual wind movement with sub seconds, running on 19 jewels. It is cased in a 14K solid gold case and has an elegant engraving to the back for 1937. Comes with a good crown and mint crystal.

The dial is factory original, made of Sterling silver in 'butler' finish with applied solid gold numerals which is the more rare variant of this already rare model. It has an original set of solid gold hour/minute hands.

This Hamilton watch measures 24mm side to side (excluding crown) and 38mm from top lug to bottom lug and is modest in size even for vintage standards.

Attached to this watch is a brand new old stock, quality slim genuine Italian made lizard leather band in black tone, 16mm wide, with anti-allergic buckle in matching tone.
