empressissi™ is pleased to offer this elegant and all original Swiss made HAMILTON watch for men from the early 70s with a hybrid electronic movement which is a semi-mechanical pre-quartz era movement driven by a battery.
The watch houses an hybrid Hamilton 683 semi-mechanical watch, running with a balance wheel but driven with a battery instead of a mainspring. This is a pioneer pre-Quartz era experiment developed by ESA and retailed by Hamilton, among others, running well and keeping good time on 13 jewels in 28,800 beats per hour rate with date function. The date is a non-quickset version. The movement is cased in a monobloc single piece stainless steel case in great shape with a mint crystal and an original signed crown.
The dial is factory original and in well preserved condition, silver sunburst with raised baton markers and an original set of hands.
This Hamilton watch measures 34,5mm side to side (excluding crown) and 40mm from top lug to bottom lug.
Attached to this watch is a fine regular length genuine leather band in a gray lizard tone, 18mm wide, with a non-allergic white buckle.
