empressissi™ is pleased to offer this unique early 20th century pocket watch by the fine Swiss maker LONGINES for the FS (Ferrovie dello Stato) which was and is still today, the Italian national railroad company.
The watch houses an early, strong manual wind caliber 19.71 which is running on 15 jewels and is an early crown wind/lever set open face model. It is cased in a unique NIckel alloy case with closure for the front and back that is locked with a chain and has an internal dust cover, in overall very good condition. The bow is original and free, the crown is original and the crystal is a near mint acrylic.
The dial may have been restored in the past but appears correct for the type and era, with an original set of hands.
