Longines

Regular price $629.00

empressissi™ is pleased to offer this top quality and sought after LONGINES automatic dress watch for men from the late 50s with classic design, Ref 991-148, and state of the art movement. This watch is all original and ready to wear!

The watch houses a 19AS high grade caliber, running on 17 jewels with sweep seconds hand. It is very unusual to find a non-round automatic watch from this era and in particular from Longines. This 19Ax series was literally considered 'rocket science' in the 50s and is until today one of the best movements ever made by Longines. It is cased in a 10K gold filled case and comes with mint acrylic crystal and original signed crown.

The dial is factory original and is in overall beautiful condition with very little signs - light pearl tone with gold plated embossed numerals and original set of hands.

This rare condition Longines watch measures 28mm side to side (excluding crown) and 40mm from top lug to bottom lug.

Attached to this watch is a standard length brand new, 18mm wide, quality padded genuine leather band in brown tone with unsigned anti-allergic buckle in white tone.

Vintage watches are smaller than today's standards;
To avoid the inconvenience of returns merely due to wrong size expectations, Please study the listed sizes and keep in mind that in most cases, vintage watches will be smaller than today's standards and are unlikely to fit a large wrist.
