empressissi™ is pleased to offer this large and impressive original Patek Philippe fine dress watch of the highest standards from the late 40s - the 'Reference 2436' Also known among collectors as the 'Cioccolatone'. Quite an uncommon reference in a relatively impressive size for a vintage watch in general and for a PP in particular. The watch houses a fine 10-200 manual wind caliber, running on 18 jewels which is a relatively early version of this caliber, most dominant in the early 50s models. It is cased in an original and signed PATEK PHILIPPE 18K solid yellow gold case in beautiful, large design and overall excellent condition. It has an original signed crown and original curved mineral crystal in excellent condition.
The dial appears to be original with the correct print and has applied solid gold Roman numerals and markers with an original set of hands over pearl tone.
This rare Patek Philippe watch measures substantial 30mm side to side (excluding crown) and 40mm from top lug to bottom lug.
Attached to this watch is a brand new quality French hand made genuine Crocodile slim black leather band- 18 mm wide. It comes with a generic unsigned buckle in a matching tone.
