The watch houses an early grade 61 Nickel finish crown wind/lever set movement, estimated to 1897 and is a fine hi grade American made movement running on 17 jewels which is an early railroad grade movement.
The movement is cased in a sturdy STAR base metal open face case which appears to be new old stock with a mint crystal, firm bow and crown and excellent threads.
The dial is a double sunken enamel with Roman numerals and red 5 minutes chapter and classic set of hands. It has small damage near the 4 position.
This large and impressive American pocket watch measures 54mm side to side (excluding crown).
