This watch is part of a large and mostly impressive, museum level collection of a retired IAF pilot that we are delighted to offer for sale in our website. In 2016 we serviced a small portion of his collection that was later auctioned at Christie's Geneve. We are now pleased to offer the substantial part of the collection for sale; these include repeaters, chronographs, Hunter-cases (Savonettes) and open faces, solid gold pocket watches most complex and interesting antique Swiss and American pocket watches of the finest standards.
The watch houses an early complicated crown set caliber featuring a 30 minutes/60 seconds chronograph in overall excellent condition, running on 17 jewels. It is running strong, keeping accurate time with sub seconds and all functions working properly. The movement is cased in an elegant open face 18K solid yellow gold case with firm gold bow and crown, good hinges mint mineral crystal and overall fantastic condition with internal dust cover from 18K solid gold as well. The thick case weighs a net weight of 28g of gold.
The dial is a factory original enamel white with just a few small signs, featuring Arabic numerals and original set of classic hands.
