empressissi™ is pleased to offer this sought after, elegant and all original Swiss made HAMILTON watch for men from the early 60s, part of the legendary Thin-O-Matic series with a micro-rotor by Buren. This watch appears by its inscription as it was gifted in the early 70s but catalog records show this model is from the mid 60s.

The watch houses the Buren 1282 (Hamilton cal. 628) which at the time of its creation was considered not less than rocket science, as it was the second generation of the Swiss Buren mass production caliber to incorporate a micro rotor within the plates design (as opposed to the classic additional layer) thus minimizing the thickness of the watch significantly. The movement is working flawlessly on 17 jewels with sweep seconds hand. It is cased in a monobloc 14K solid gold case with mint crystal and a good matching crown.

The dial is factory original - icy silver tone with pearl index dots and applied solid gold markers with original set of hands.

This Hamilton watch measures 33mm side to side (excluding crown) and 38mm from top lug to bottom lug.

Attached to this watch is a fine padded genuine leather band in a dark brown tone, 18mm wide, with a non-allergic buckle.
