1905 J. POURRAT 18K Gold Ladies Swiss Pocket Watch

empressissi™ is pleased to offer this elegant little Swiss pocket watch for ladies by the fine Swiss maker J. Pourrat & Fils. This manufacturers used hi grade movements in their watches. A watch designed with collaboration with Lalique for the world exhibition in Paris with a JP&F movement sold for over 150,000 $US. You can see it here.  The watch was serviced in our atelier, it is working flawlessly, keeping good time.

This watch is part of a large 'Virginia Collection' we offer for sale, from an avid collector of mostly American made solid gold watches.

The watch houses an early classic Swiss three fingers style ebauche caliber in gilt finish, which has excellent hi grade signs such as the wolf teeth winding mechanism, capped escapement and Breguet hairspring. It is marked JP&F. It is a crown wind/pin set caliber, in overall excellent condition, running strong and keeping accurate time with sub seconds on 15-17 jewels. The movement is cased in an elegant small classic open face case in fantastic condition with a few shallow dings marked "18K" (untested) with internal dust cover marked with the maker's name. The case has a tight original bow, original crown and mint mineral crystal.

The dial is a factory original stight-fit white enamel with sunken sub seconds and Arabic numerals and gold inlaid index with no evident damage and has an original set of Louis XIV style gilt hands.

This fantastic little Swiss pocket watch measures 31mm side to side (excluding crown).
