empressissi™ is pleased to offer this unique and sought after Railroad Approved pocket watch by the fine American maker 'Waltham' in a series known as 'Vanguard' from the early 20th century. This watch was recently serviced and is ready to tell time.
The watch houses an early 16-size American Waltham top class 'Vanguard' grade with 23 jewels and adjusted to five positions. It is a crown wind, lever set movement of the finest standards. The movement is cased in a sturdy, original and signed 10K rolled gold plated STAR case in overall very good condition with a small dent to the back but otherwise no issues. The front unscrews as it should to operate the lever, the crown and bow are original and strong and the case comes with a mint acrylic crystal.
The dial is factory original and unique dual tone silver metal dial with classic railroad numerals and original set of thick hands.
This fantastic historic pocket watch measures 50,5mm side to side (excluding crown).
