20s EBERHARD JF Swiss HERMETIC WW1 Trench Sterling Silver Watch

empressissi™ is pleased to offer this rare and unique EBERHARD 'dustproof' Swiss watch for men from the first world war period in classic trench style and an Hermetic case, a patent developed by Jean Finger and used in early Rolex Submarine watches of the same era as well.
This watch houses a Swiss ebauche caliber running on 15 jewels in manual wind. This strong movement is cased in a Swiss hallmarked Sterling silver case with a unique design patented and marked JF (Jean Finger) which composes of double casing where the external ring is a screw-on type and the internal part is hinged within the monobloc case. The case is in excellent condition with two original mineral crystals and crown.
The dial is the original porcelain dial in excellent damage free condition with the original set of hands. The luminous material on the dial and hands was simulated with a non toxic substitute after the original hazardous Radium was removed.
This unique watch measures 32mm side to side (excluding crown) and 37mm from top lug to bottom lug.
Attached to this watch is a standard length NATO style, brand new genuine leather band in black tone, 12mm wide.
