empressissi™ is pleased to offer this early and sought after top class Art Deco GRUEN Quadron watch for men from the early 30s in gold filled case.
The watch houses a rare and early 119 'Quadron' barrel shaped caliber running on 17 jewels with sub seconds complication. It is cased in a classic rectangular shaped 14K yellow gold filled case with gorgeous Art Deco minimalist design. The case is in relatively good condition, exhibits some minor wear on edges and some small dents on the back but overall very presentable. Comes with a good crown and an original thick mineral crystal in great shape.
The dial is a factory original hard enamel with Art Deco style numerals and has very faint aging. The dial has had its hazardous Radium filling removed in the past and restored with luminous filling, carefully hand painted in our atelier with non-toxic Super-Luminova™ material. It comes with the original set of hands.
This rare Gruen watch measures 22mm side to side (excluding crown) and 39mm from top lug to bottom lug.
Attached to this watch is standard length, brand new 16mm wide genuine lizard leather band in slim dark brown tone with an anti-allergic buckle in matching tone.
