1870s A. HUGUENIN Swiss Independent 1/4 Second Chronograph Pocket Watch
A. Huguenin & Sons
empressissi™ is pleased to offer this fine and rare A. Huguenin two barrel independent seconds chronograph with a quarter second sub dial. You can see a short video of this watch in our Youtube channel.
This watch is part of a large 'Virginia Collection' we offer for sale, from an avid collector of mostly American made solid gold watches.
The watch houses an early high grade finely crafter and hi jeweled two train, key wind pocket watch with independent seconds and quarter second jump at 14,400 bph. The watch was serviced here in our atelier and is working flawlessly, keeping good time with the complication working well and comes with a key. The movement is cased in a very large and sturdy 'Dueber Silverine' silver-nickel case in open face format with a top crown that makes the complication work or stop. Please note this early version has no reset function, just run and stop and as mentioned, it is independent from the time keeping movement.
The dial is a factory original white enamel in fantastic condition and it comes with the original set of hands.
