1870s ROSKELL Liverpool Early French KWKS English Market Silver Pocket Watch
empressissi™ is pleased to offer this very interesting, large 19th century period French pocket watch for gents, made for the English market. The watch is cased in a fine Silver open face case and comes with a good silver plated chain and key.
The watch houses an early KWKS (Key Wind, Key Set) Swiss very high quality and unique gilt finished 15 jewels manual wind lever movement set in classic period 'fingers' design, with notable parachute balance that is a design associated with Breguet and also made under several other French/Swiss boutique brands. The movement is working well and keeping good time. It is cased in a finely decorated 'Argent' marked case with free original bow and good bullseye crystal.
The dial is a very decorative one made in several silver/gold tones with Roman numerals with engine decorations and is possibly a later replacement. It comes with the original set of hands.
