1894 Am. WALTHAM A.T. & Co. 14K Gold Hunter 18s Pocket Watch

empressissi™ is pleased to offer this amazing, heavy American Waltham pocket watch in solid 14K gold case. The watch was serviced in our atelier, it is working flawlessly, keeping good time.

This watch is part of a large 'Virginia Collection' we offer for sale, from an avid collector of mostly American made solid gold watches.

The watch houses an early crown wind/lever set hi grade 'A.T. & Co.' (Appleton Tracy) grade in 18 size (Model 1883) with spectacular, well preserved and less common gilt Damaskeened (gold flash) finish, estimated to 1894. The movement is working well, keeping good time.

The movement is cased in a unique, magnificent, large, heavy and very impressive solid 14K yellow gold ROY case all around with amazing decorations, in particular the repeating pattern of snailing. The crown is original, tight bow, the lift spring is working properly, revealing the face of the watch covered with the original bezel with a mint mineral crystal.

The dial is a factory original white enamel with double sunken design and Roman numerals exhibiting just a few hairlines with an original set of decorated hands.

This fantastic American pocket watch measures 53,5mm side to side (excluding crown), The case alone weighs 61.5g without the crystal, crown and movement.

With the watch comes the apparently original retailer's box from Lancaster PA in very good overall condition for its age.
