1900s GORHAM Co. Goliath 8-Day Swiss Pocket Watch

empressissi™ is pleased to offer this fantastic, well preserved large and strong running giant pocket watch, made in Switzerland around 1900 in a category known among collectors as 'Goliath pocket watches'.

The watch houses an early Swiss large Nickel plates 8-days movement which is a crown wind/crown set caliber running on 15 jewels. The movement is running strong, keeping good time.

The movement is cased in a sturdy unmarked Nickel-Steel case, appears similar to stainless steel in characteristics with an original firm bow, crown and mineral crystal with just a few signs, all in great shape.

The dial is a factory original enamel with no damage. It appears the logo was erased at some time but otherwise no damage and has an original set of hands.

This huge and impressive Goliath pocket watch measures 81mm side to side (excluding crown). It is shown in the last image with a Swiss 37mm round (about 6-size) pocket watch for reference (The smaller watch is not included).
