This particular watch was presented to one George A. Holly which was a past hight priest in the McKinley Chapter 181 Masonic organization in Cleveland, Ohio.
Masonic emblems include some bibilical motifs and this particular watch carries a Priestly breastplate decorated with three 'יהוה' around representing the Hebrew word for 'Jehova' (God). This kind of Priestly breastplate known as the Hoshen was worn by the high priest in the temple in Jerusalem, representing the twelve tribes of Israel.
The watch houses an early and highly sought after grade 900 top class American made hi grade movement running on 19 jewels. Less than 25'000 pieces of this grade were made overall. It is cased in an original HAMILTON 14K solid yellow gold 12s case with internal dust cover made of gold as well and hallmarked accordingly. The case is in excellent shape and has a firm bow and original crown. Good hinges. Has near mint low dome crystal.
The dial is factory original white enamel in mint condition with an original set of hands.
