empressissi™ is pleased to offer this early and sought after Art Deco GRUEN Quadron watch for men from the late 20s in gold filled case with a classic Guild early Swiss manual wind movement.
The watch houses a rare and early 157 'Quadron' barrel shaped caliber running on 15 jewels with sub seconds complication. It is cased in a classic rectangular shaped 14K white gold filled case with decorations in Art Deco motif on the sides and comes with a near mint mineral crystal and a good crown.
The dial is a factory original hard enamel dial with Art Deco style numerals with recently restored luminous filling, carefully hand painted in our atelier with non-toxic Super-Luminova™ material. The same material was applied to the original set of decorated skeleton hands as well.
This rare Gruen watch measures 22mm side to side (excluding crown) and 38mm from top lug to bottom lug.
Attached to this watch is standard length, brand new 16mm wide genuine leather band in padded black with an anti-allergic white tone buckle.
