The watch houses a rare and early 117 'Quadron' barrel shaped caliber running on 17 jewels with sub seconds complication. It is cased in a classic rectangular shaped 14K white gold filled case with decorations in Art Deco motif on the sides and comes with a mint faceted mineral crystal and a good newer crown.
The dial is with a very uncommon design, a factory original hard enamel dial with Art Deco style numerals with an original set of hands. The luminous material has been restored with non-toxic material and is glowing nicely in the dark.
This rare Gruen watch measures 22mm side to side (excluding crown) and 38mm from top lug to bottom lug.
Attached to this watch is its original STURDY USA stainless steel bracelet in excellent condition with folding, adjustable clasp, will fit a wrist of up to 190mm.
