empressissi™ is pleased to offer this early and sought after top class GRUEN Quadron reference 123-108 from the early 30s in gold filled case and distinctive Art Deco design.
The watch houses a rare and early 123 'Quadron' gilt finish, barrel shaped caliber running on 17 jewels with sub seconds complication. It is cased in a phenomenal Art Deco 14K yellow gold filled case in excellent condition. The case has an original mint crystal and a good crown.
The dial is a factory original hard enamel with Art Deco style numerals. The dial has had its hazardous Radium filling removed in the past and restored with luminous filling, carefully hand painted to simulate the original look. It comes with the original set of hands.
This rare Gruen watch measures 22mm side to side (excluding crown) and 43mm from top lug to bottom lug.
Attached to this watch is standard length, brand new 16mm wide genuine lizard leather band in slim black tone with elegant Ostrich grain, with an anti-allergic buckle in matching tone.
