The watch houses a strong hi grade 522 manual wind movement with sweep seconds, running on 15 jewels. According to public Elgin records, less than 40,000 such movements were made in total, not all of them for this particular model which makes this watch quite a rare find. It is cased in a slim and elegant signed 14K yellow gold filled case in slim design and overall excellent condition with just a tiny dent on the back. It comes with an original, near mint crystal and an original crown.
The dial is was professionally restored with the exact print and features gold plated numerals and an original set of hands.
This phenomenal Elgin watch measures 22mm side to side (excluding crown) and 39mm from top lug to bottom lug and is relatively modest in size even for vintage watches.
Attached to this watch is a brand new, quality padded genuine leather band in dark brown tone, 18mm wide, with anti-allergic buckle in matching tone.
