empressissi™ is pleased to offer this fantastic early and sought after GRUEN dress watch for men from the mid 40s, with the legendary CURVEX movement - the only mass production mechanical movement engineered with curved bridges for a more ergonomic design. This watch is ready to wear, gift or add to your collection.

The watch houses an early 440 Curvex caliber which is the second out of three calibers and the most popular one in the Curvex series, running on 17 jewels with sub seconds. It is cased in a GRUEN original 14K solid gold case model 440-499 in rose tone and comes with a mint crystal and good crown.

The dial is a gorgeous dual tone factory original in copper and pearl and the print is hard enameled with original set of slim black hands.

This collectible GRUEN watch measures 22mm side to side (excluding crown) and 34mm from top lug to bottom lug and is considered relatively modest in size even for a vintage watch.

Attached to this watch is standard length, brand new 14mm wide top quality HIRSCH® Lizardlook genuine leather band in slim dark brown tone with an anti-allergic yellow tone buckle.

Vintage watches are often smaller than today's standards;
To avoid the inconvenience of returns merely due to wrong size expectations, Please take a moment to study the measurements of this watch. Keep in mind that in most cases, vintage watches are smaller than today's standards and are unlikely to fit a large wrist.
