empressissi™ is pleased to offer this fantastic early and sought after GRUEN dress watch for men from the mid 40s, with the legendary CURVEX movement. This watch is ready to wear, gift or add to your collection.
The watch houses an early 440 Curvex caliber which is the second out of three Curvex calibers and the most popular one in the series, running on 17 jewels with sub seconds. It is cased in a GRUEN original 14K solid gold case model 440-544 in yellow tone and comes with a mint crystal and good crown.
The dial was professionally restored in our atelier - pearl tone surface with embossed gold plated numerals/markers and original set of hands.
This collectible GRUEN watch measures 24mm side to side (excluding crown) and 34mm from top lug to bottom lug.
Attached to this watch is standard length, brand new 20mm wide genuine leather band in slim black tone with an anti-allergic yellow tone buckle.
