empressissi™ is pleased to offer this early and sought after Art Deco GRUEN wrist watch for men - a unique model from the late 20s in white gold filled case with an octagon classic Art Deco design.

The watch houses a rare and early 885 GUILD caliber, running well on 15 jewels. It is cased in a classic octagon shaped 14K gold filled case with decorations in Art Deco motif on the sides and comes with a near mint mineral crystal and a good crown. This case model ref is 885-7.

The dial is a 100% factory original hard enamel off-white dial with distinctive Art Deco figures and original set of hands. It has a classic two hands design without sub seconds. The luminous material on this dial has been restored with non-toxic Super-Luminova™ instead of the original hazardous Radium and it comes with the original set of hands as well.

This rare Gruen watch measures 27,5mm side to side (excluding crown) and 33mm from top lug to bottom lug and is modest in size even for a vintage watch.

Attached to this watch is a brand new quality XL genuine leather band in padded black, 16mm wide with an anti-allergic matching tone buckle.
