empressissi™ is pleased to offer this rare and sought after WW2 period and style watch for men from the late 40s in desireable gold cap over stainless steel case with an early Swiss bumper automatic wind movement.

The watch houses an early GP 84 / AS 1250 caliber running on 17 jewels which is a bumper automatic technology caliber, sought after among collectors. It is cased in a very unique and likewise desirable gold capped case which means a thick portion of 14K gold (not plating) attached to the top part of the stainless steel lugs in a 'monobloc' case design, with a pressure ring bezel made of 14K solid gold. It comes with mint acrylic crystal and a good crown.

The dial was professionally restored in dual tone - pearl and salmon skin in a military WWII style numerals with hand painted luminous numerals. The hands are original as well and had their luminous material restored with non-toxic Super-Luminova.

This original early Girard-Perregaux watch measures 33mm side to side (excluding crown) and 40mm from top lug to bottom lug.

Attached to this watch is a brand, top quality hand made genuine duck leather band, 16mm wide in black tone with an anti-allergic buckle in white tone.
