Gruen

Regular price $739.00

empressissi™ is pleased to offer this unique and sought after Gruen model 'Day-Night' featuring markers with changing tones for day and night, switching correctly at 6 o'clock. This model is very collectible and hard to find in this large format and good condition!

The watch houses a 510RSS manual wind caliber, running on 17 jewels with sweep seconds. Instead of the classic date complication normally fitted on this caliber, there is a special Green-Black alternating disc switching every 12 hours at 6 o'clock. The result is a set of markers changing from green to black (Hence model's name Day-Night). It is cased in a GRUEN relatively large gold plated case with stainless steel, in minimal wear for its age and in overall very nice condition with a good crown and mint crystal.

The dial is a factory original in silver sunburst, these are very hard to find in such good condition with an original set of hands.

This elegant GRUEN watch is relatively large in vintage standards and measures 33,5mm side to side (excluding crown) and 43mm from top lug to bottom lug.

Attached to this watch is standard length, brand new quality genuine leather band in dark brown tonee, 18mm wide with an anti-allergic matching tone buckle.
