DAMAS

Regular price $395.00

empressissi™ is pleased to offer a small range of DAMAS new old stock watches we recently acquired, you can view the entire selection here. All these watches were never worn and come with their original red box. These will make an excellent vintage gift or addition to your collection.

The DAMAS was a mid range brand of the BEGUELIN & CIE Swiss manufacturer with most movements marked BTC, active mostly in the 50s and 60s. The brand focused on the Arabic market, in particular Lebanese and Syrian. Possibly DAMAS was chosen to resemble DAMASCUS.

The watch houses a fine Swiss manual wind caliber, running on 21 jewels with sweep seconds. It is cased in an elegant gold plated case with stainless back, both in mint condition with original crown and crystal.

The dial is factory original - mint condition and super elegant recessed gold markers in silver background with an original set of hands.

This timeless Swiss watch measures 34mm side to side (excluding crown) and 41mm from top lug to bottom lug.

Attached to this watch is its original turquoise tone slim genuine leather band with original signed DAMAS buckle in matching tone, 18mm wide.

Vintage watches are smaller than today's standards;
To avoid the inconvenience of returns merely due to wrong size expectations, Please study the listed sizes and keep in mind that in most cases, vintage watches will be smaller than today's standards and are unlikely to fit a large wrist. For your convenience, and to better understand the proportions of vintage watches sizes, download and print a copy of our unique watch size reference PDF page.
