60s NOS DAMAS Military Style Demisize Gents Swiss Watch

The DAMAS was a mid range brand of the BEGUELIN & CIE Swiss manufacturer with most movements marked BTC, active mostly in the 50s and 60s. The brand focused on the Arabic market, in particular Lebanese and Syrian. Possibly DAMAS was chosen to resemble DAMASCUS.
The watch houses a fine Swiss manual wind caliber, running on 17 jewels with sub seconds. It is cased in a relatively small, tutone stainless steel monoblock case in mint condition with low dome crystal and original crown. This could be a junior version or a military style watch.
The dial is factory original - mint condition and elegant raised gold numerals over icy silver tone background with an original set of hands.
This timeless Swiss watch measures 30mm side to side (excluding crown) and 37mm from top lug to bottom lug.
Attached to this watch is a brand new matching NATO olive green band, 16mm wide.
