70s CERTINA Automatic 'Blue Ribbon' Date Chunky Gents Vintage Watch
empressissi™ is pleased to offer this uncommon and fine Swiss watch by CERTINA. It is important to emphasize the quality of this watch and maker in general vs. the underestimated popularity; these watches are fantastic mechanical creations, with complicated and well finished movements who do not fall below the large competitors such as Longines and Omega. They are very accurate and robust. This watch is an all original example, is ready to wear, gift or add to your collection.
The watch houses a strong hi beat 25-651 automatic caliber running on 17 jewels with a non-quickset date. It is cased in a sturdy, relatively large and chunky, distinctive 70s style stainless steel case with original signed crown and original crystal, all in great condition.
The dial of this watch is an original factory made brushed silver with applied solid markers and original set of hands, lightly aged but overall exhibits very well.
This impressive CERTINA watch measures 36mm side to side (excluding crown) and 41,5mm from top lug to bottom lug.
Attached to this watch is a brand new, quality genuine leather band in tan brown tone, 20mm wide with anti-allergic buckle in matching tone.
I recommend the Vintage Certina website for more reference about the brand and its models.
